Defendant: Alexander Causten
Offense: Simple Assault and Illegal Discharge of a weapon
Arresting Officer: Gus MacArthur
Judge: Granville Aldeton

Subject opened fire in support of a friend (at large) who ended up assaulting a lawmwan (MacArthur).

First offense with good cooperation; Sentenced 50 dollar fine, community service chopping wood, and 2 days of parole - no weapons.

Arresting Officers Notes:
Threewinds has been working for Miss Dio in Deadwood as a bartender for a couple of days. He was spotted and shot by the mayor in the leg as his wife pointed him out that he was the culprit. On the other hand Miss ThroeAvin Avedon saw him at the Yankton and the Dios Inn The Grand Central Hotel and says hes innocent.

Master Glendevon: Just sending in some notes of what I know of and saw of the 2 men below.

July 27th

Mr Glen heard some commotion at the Prospect House Inn and came rushin in, Joe Verwood, Alabama String and another bald headed man were there. Mr Warden claimed they were robbin the place. We all drew guns when Mr Warden came downstairs, and was an all round gun battle, but me (Glen) and Mr Warden were shot several times by all 3 men. The men escaped.

July 29th

Mr ALabama strings was shooting at a woman on the street a Miss ThrowAvin Avedon and Miss Merryann Munster was there to witness him do this.

JUly 30th

Ran into Alabama Strings infront of the palace. Myself Glen, and Mr Warden tried to question Mr String, and he agreed to come to the jailhouse he started walkin there, then ran off, Mr Warden tried to chase him down, but he escaped into the mines.

After a week in jail, Bail set at 1000 if possible

Cannot get information from him regarding the phoenix shooting, cannot pin point joe there at the time
no witnesses
