I was wondering about the food cooking system with the oven. There's lots of potential with it, but doesn't seem that many recipies for the average oven owner (yet). Poor old Bu lives on stew.  Cry

Will more recipies be added? Will there be a cookbook made? Eventually I bet there could be a whole fishing system made and use the caught fish for food. Other things would be fun like utensils as ingredients, needing pots and pans, spices, etc. Could also make a little farming thing too for vegetables. But I don't know much about the whole oven thing. So guess was just wondering about it.  Grin I really like though!

Hello Smiley

Yes we thought about a fishing system as well but didn't get to it so far. I have also troubles to create fishes :-P
Farming is a cool idea too.
Mhm..I haven't thought about untensils yet..

Currently, you can find recipe books in sim. You have the ability to take it and share it with people, or to leave it where it is and just learn the recipe inside by clicking the book.
Some more menus are waiting already.

Why are you just cooking stew? (poor Bu.. ) Grin
The oven should show you some more recipes that need spices, eggs, chicken, blueberries ...

Oh, and the butcher will have some more work soon..

The marvelous Deadwood Oven is available at the Bertrand-Runningbear General Store along with the full line of Deadwood compatible foods!  Mah and I are looking forward to future product developments and grocery/meat supply availability...anything to serve the growing population of Deadwood!

I swear, I have spent my spare time when the sim is empty looking for recipes other than what came with the oven and cannot find a thing.   Ingredients plenty -- recipes.. not so much.

Can someone offer hints as to where they are?

I've seen stuffed potatos, which have been made, and I know they use cheese, backon and potato, all of which I have, but no recipie to be found. I'm stuck with the same issue.

I believe there was an issue with the stuffed potatoes recipe book and it was picked up. Likely it'll be back soon. It's been the only one I've found so far.

The stuffed potato - recipe isnt set out in sim in moment. (more than 10 people know how to cook it, already)
There is another one since a week or two... and today i placed a new one as well.

The books cant be picked up in moment, because we had some troubles with the stuffed potatos.
You can still learn the recipe by clicking the book. It also works to RP that you learn it from a friend who knows the recipe already, just send a forum PM to Estwee to set you up, if you cant find the book. (it can take a little time until the recipe shows up in your oven menue)

The current recipes arent in a house, they are hidden in more "lonely" places..

Eggs are in chickens which are in some boxes found in a couple of places -- I've seen them next to stores or in wagons around town.

Meat comes when you shoot a deer, in the hills on either side of the camp/town.
